2003 HillBilly Highlights !

This is a flashback to the 2003 Hillbilly 100's most memorable crash that destroyed Charlie Maloneys # 1m.
Everyone just had a bad feeling after a first lap stackup collected the better half of the field, but most returned to action.
Off to a good restart racing was close and fast around one and two, flat out down the backstretch when Maloney is forced high going into turn 3 and smacking that dreaded tire protecting the pit chute.
Russ Fronaphel was also collected in the melee and comes to rest as broken race car parts roll past
The devastation is more evident as the wreckage is dragged off the track. The huge crowd, especially those sitting in the backstretch bleachers breathed a heavy sigh of relief as all drivers involved walked away.
When opening nights main event finally got underway the Steel Blocks raced like it was for a million bucks.
Flat out and wide open around the Tyler County oval
Racing down to the wire
