There may be better races around during the Labor Day weekend and things sure have changed since the days of Pennsboro but it would really be hard for me not to attend Tyler County and cheer for my favorite local and regional drivers. From the pure stocks, super streets, modifieds, and steel blocks this is what this weekend should be all about. No other event gives these guys the spotlight like the Hillbilly does. Thats too bad a lot of the "big dogs" decided not to attend the big show and I can understand their reasons, I guess this race doesn't have the same meaning for them. When you talk to the guys parked in the back forty you realize pretty quick what it means just to make the main events and these same people may try year after year without much success but they keep coming back, year after year. It's the Hillbilly !
